paperwork publication studios

My role here was to work as their primary website designer and developer. As of the date of this writing (May 2021) I have designed and developed 4 standalone publication websites for them. Each of the sites is developed on the Ghost CMS platform. Ghost is an open source CMS that allows for dynamic membership levels. Each site contains several dynamic elements - blog sections, landing pages, membership signups, pricing charts, all tied to Active Campaign and their membership lists. My strategy for this was to get a deep understanding of the purpose of each publication. I made a checklist of all of the pages that are required of the site and the functionality of each. I would then design the site fully in Figma and get approval from my client on each design. My client provided instructions, illustrations and icons, text and purpose for the site. I would take this information and create a design out of it that met his requirements. Design proofing and approval is an integral part of my process. After designing all the pages of a site, I would use Invision to lay them out as a prototype. My client can easily flip through the pages of the Invision prototype, seeing each pages design and how they interact with each other. Based on feedback and approvals, I would start the design process. For this, I used Webflow as theme development, then using conversion tools would turn this Webflow website into a custom Ghost theme.
